Remember to check out the website at http://kapowcomicconvention.com/ , the lineup is looking fantastic with Lucha Wrestling, some amazing comics talent and plenty of previews for upcoming movies [Amazing Spiderman FTW!!!]
Seeya there and remember you can still help us on the road to greatness by heading over to our Afroella sponsume campaign.
Kroma Concepts
In the run up to release of issue 2 we’ll be posting concept art , our influences and sneaky peaks of what’s to come.
So to kick things off here’s a cheeky look at the designs for the President and citizens of the Planet Kroma.

With the look of Afroella and her world based very much on retro American Sci-Fi we wanted to make the planet Kroma distinctly different to give it an alien feel.
The trick though was to remain within the overall aesthetic so we began by looking at what other countries were producing in the same period. What really stood out was Soviet Sci-Fi as while sharing a lot of similar elements to its US counterpart it had its own very recognizable identity which sets it apart from the rest.
I’ll be chatting much more about this in upcoming updates as more is revealed of Kromas architecture, costume and technology.
Lee
At last! We can reveal the cover for the next funktastic installment of Afroella.
And remember , for awesome rewards and how you can help spread the word of Afroella , you can check out our sponsume page at http://www.sponsume.com/project/afroella
To make Afroella issues 2-4 just as super awesome as the first we need your help.
We’ve recently launched a crowdfunding campaign with Sponsume to help towards the costs involved in printing the comic . In return for any donations there are a number of fantastic rewards on offer. From the comics themselves , limited edition prints, sketches and exclusive merchandise , all the way to appearing in a future issue of the comic and for those of you who really want to splash out there’s replica props and the chance to have your own personal comic illustrated exclusively for you.
Don’t worry if you can’t donate any money ,there’s many other ways you can help us out and spread the word of Afroella. Simply sharing the sponsume page , liking us on facebook or tweeting is all massively appreciated .

Thankyou
Lee & Gem
London Super Comic Con
A little overdue , here’s a few pics from our table at London Super Comic Con . This was the first year for London Super Comic Con and have to say the organisers did a great job in making it memorable. An amazing lineup of artists and writers made for a fantastic weekend made even better by the presence of the great Stan Lee. It’s rare for a comics show to purely concentrate on comics and this was a refreshing move.
so without further ado…
Our table of Afroella wares , buy buy buy, sell sell sell!

The tentacular multi tentacle Crackenhol monster was the theme of the day with cutouts , badges and plush tentacle.

pretty soon the tentacle had developed a mind of its own [good for him there was plenty of reading material around ;) ]

Never let it be said that Gem doesn’t know how to pose …

Though by Sunday, tiredness had started to kick in and coffee was in order , luckily Gemma perfected the art of still looking awesome while asleep on her feet so Lee could make the run….

One fail in that plan is Lee could only do the same with support…

and is prone to Crakenhol night terrors!!!

We had a fantastic time, made plenty of sales and gained some great feedback from new and old faces alike. Apart from the militant Excel security staff who took a sadistic glee in their job come kicking out time, we had a very warm welcome for Afroella and we can’t wait for next year. See y’all there :)
